We believe petition integrity matters as much as petition numbers. Here is our roadmap to a fully verified, government-grade signature system — and exactly where we stand today.
Any movement calling for accountability in the justice system must hold itself to the same standard. That means being transparent about what our numbers represent — and building towards a system where every signature is cryptographically verified to a real Australian identity.
We are not inflating numbers. We are not hiding methodology. We are publicly committing to a higher standard than most petitions in Australia operate under.
Individuals who have directly engaged with the Fair Go Justice campaign via email submission, social action, or verified outreach contact.
A supporter is someone who took a deliberate action to associate with this campaign. This is not a passive view count or social impression.
A verified signature is linked to a confirmed Australian identity via myGov Digital Identity or Australia Post Digital ID — one person, one signature.
Four phases from current state to full parliamentary-grade verification:
Email and social engagement tracked. Supporter count maintained at 12,847. Methodology published on Transparency page. No inflation; no removal of existing numbers.
Integration with the Australian Government's myGov Digital Identity framework (legislated under the Digital ID Act 2024). Supporters will be able to re-verify their existing engagement as a formal, identity-linked signature. One Australian Government ID, one verified signature. Existing count is preserved; verified count grows alongside it.
Australia Post Digital ID provides an alternative verification pathway for Australians who do not use myGov. In-person verification at 4,400+ Australia Post outlets nationally — ensuring rural, regional, and ATSI community members are not excluded by digital-only access.
Verified signature data compiled and formatted to meet the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters (JSCEM) standards for parliamentary petition submission. Verified count formally tabled with the Senate committee as part of the Fair Go Justice legislative reform campaign.

Establishes the Australian Government Digital ID System. myGov operates under this framework. Legally mandates privacy protections and prohibits misuse of identity data.
Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply to all identity data collected. We will not store identity data beyond what is required for verification confirmation.
Australia Post's Digital Identity service is accredited under the Trusted Digital Identity Framework (TDIF). In-person verification available nationally.
The Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters sets standards for parliamentary petitions. Phase 4 targets full compliance with these standards.
